I was sceptical after reading quite a few unhappy reviews, but honestly we were very happy with the apartments. The place was exceptionally clean, and although facilities were basic, it had everything we needed. We had a “shared bathroom”, but actually the bathroom was only allocated for us to use, so it was private, clean and no one else using it. Finally, some of the reviews complain about noise - we had no issue with noise. We were there during one of the busiest times over a fiesta week, with parties all through the street, below us, all night. the double glazing cuts out all noise once the doors are shut. AC keeps the rooms cool at night. For a VERY central location, in amongst all the action, I would highly recommend. The staff do ask you to fill in online forms with all your details beforehand in order to give you access codes etc. which I was a little unsure about, but seems to be fine. There is a requirement in Spain to register each guest.

Our Room, 103, was perfect for what we wanted and needed during our stay in San Sebastián. Our bed was very comfortable, the room was spotless and our balcony was a treat and have stunning views! We didn’t experience much noise at all, if anything we enjoyed the hustle and bustle outside the window. I would not stay in Old Town if I wanted a quiet stay- we loved being part of the action!! Such a fantastic location, beside the port and so many fabulous bars and restaurants on the street below. The shared toilets were constantly cleaned and there was never a queue as there was so many between the rooms. They were spotless and have Molten Brown shower gel and shampoo as standard- very nice treat! I would highly recommend this Pensión and I will definitely book again when I return to San Seb.
